You can resolve emotional trauma that psychology alone has not healed, by believing in something greater than yourself; God or concepts like universal order or a higher power, and by understanding your own spirit or soul.
Having a "spiritual sense of yourself" means tuning into what you were born knowing to be true in your heart of hearts-your soul, before you acquired prejudices. Cultivating spiritual self-awareness does not require religious teachings but religion may be a part of your spiritual self-awareness.
You can cultivate your wisdom an resolve emotional trauma by believing in something greater than yourself. Listen to those angelic whispers, which are always good healing messages about doing good deeds for others, forgiving slights, and being good for goodness sake. You must work to keep your heart pure and un-embittered.
Emptiness that never seems to go away can be filled in with faith. Faith takes many forms. All problems are resolvable when you have faith that your life can improve.
Counseling within this framework of understanding your intuitive knowing can help you
- uncover your spiritual self
- renew your faith in something beyond your reasoning
- come to personal peace with unfair life events
- and resolve struggles with religious dogma.
Please enjoy the library of articles I have authored that have run in the Denver Post and other publications.I have added some poems to motivate you to look at writing as a way to release some of the deepest unresolved conflicts or losses that you may have.
Writing is one of the best tools for working out anger, psychotic aggression, disappointment and hurt. Keep writing. If you can, try to write a poem or draw a picture that describes your current dilemma or emotions about an event. When we writes it takes away the power of repetitive thoughts and puts them somewhere else; outside of your psyche. I encourage you to review what you said and challenge your own thinking or write a different end to the story that helps you to adjust to the parts of life were a struggle.
